Job Details:
Requirement gatherings and project specifications in coordination with project teams and translate the business requirements to technical requirements for SQL Server build
Preparing POC for server build and implementation
MS SQL Server Database installation, creation and configuration
Additional SQL Server components deployment and configuration subject to the project / application requirements
Upgrades & applying Hot fixes/Service Packs & Replication
Vendor coordination-Resolution of issues where OEM intervention is necessary (bug fixes, patches)
Advanced configurations cluster, mirroring, replication and logshipping setup
Database hardening
Security compliance, DR setup and testing
Performance monitoring and capacity planning
Database backup and restoration
Creating maintenance plans for various maintenance activities
Audit trail monitoring ? Creating SSIS packages for ETL tasks
Problem resolution and troubleshooting : Information collection, analysis to identify the problem, Identify solution or interim workarounds and RCA documentation
Co-ordination with interfacing team
Supporting the databases projects related activities
Provide resolution of tickets assigned by Client service centre client based on the priority
Ensuring client security policies to control access and authentication
Account creation, modification, deletion
Working on approved and mutually agreed CM ticket
Participation in IPL window for Database support
