Summary / Skills
This is a migration project - ALL candidates must have MIGRATION SKILLS and experience.
Must have strong systems capabilities that can do discovery validation, systems interrogation, planning (workbooks), execution (do the migration), and then steady state support for as long as it takes to ensure everything is 100%
1. System Admin– ability to log into a system and completely understand the configuration and topology (IP, tools, application, connectivity), verify data from D&A, and identify any new concerns or issues based on what is actually on the system.
2. Migration Planning – client still expects to have the workbooks completed and owned by the technical resource that will do the work. All candidates would need to be experienced with Excel in order to maintain the workbooks.
3. Migration Execution – execute the plan, including all pre-migration tasks, migration tasks, and post migration tasks (tools removal and installation, IP/DNS changes, any application pre-migration efforts, etc.)
4. Steady state support – support the environment for whatever time is necessary to ensure that the system is 100% operational (this has been anywhere from a week to 2 months depending on how and when the system is used).
SAP HCM Technical Consultant (ABAP-HR)

Job Description:
Consultant will assist in completion of analysis, design, coding and testing of SAP Software and/or enhancements to new or existing custom SAP Software for functionality to meet clients SAP HR project needs.
Must have:
· 10 - 12 years of experience as SAP HCM Technical Consultant (ABAP-HR) and should have worked on implementations and Support.
· Strong knowledge and hands-on experience on coding interfaces, reports, enhancements built on SAP-HCM modules especially Payroll and Time.
· Should be able to work on SAP scripts, Smart forms, developing and upgrading Module pool programs, BDC, BADIs, User Exits, bug-fixing in the existing code, etc.
· In depth understanding of SAP HR data processes and reporting.
· Good understanding of domain knowledge of HCM modules - Organizational Management, Personal Administration, Time (negative) and Recruitment, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Employee self-service and Performance Management modules would be a plus.
· Should be able to Manage the ABAP-HR objects independently (coding, reviews, estimations)
· Should be able to do solution definition and validation
· Should have excellent communication skills.
· Work well in team environment and in a SAP project environment.
· Lead a project at different phases from customer problem definition to diagnosis to solution design, development, deployment and ongoing support.
· Assisting in the project management.
· Team mentoring.
· Reviewing Team's deliverables to ensure Quality and Timely delivery.
· Overall coordination within own team & with other teams for the area of responsibility.
· Provide reliable estimates and do planning.
· Defining potential improvements to processes and systems that can lead to enhancements.
· Productivity improvement initiatives.
· Quality improvement checks.
· Demonstrate initiative and mobility.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Server Installation and Maintenance
Owns primary responsibility for installation/configuration, upgrades and patches of all hardware, operating system, and operational utilities on UNIX/Linux systems
Adheres to documented, approved standards
Plans and coordinates infrastructure requests to accommodate server requests.
Monitors, schedules, and implements server storage expansions, as required for client needs
Coordinates and plans with other support groups and vendors to provide emergency and scheduled maintenance in an effective timeframe
Measures baseline of server performance and security analysis
Provides research, communicates, and implements "Best Practices" for server tuning
Facilitates inventory management
Gathers and documents system information
Maintains accurate system informational databases
Works with team to identify tasks to automate and develops automation scripts
Experience
2-4 years Technical Support, showing strong analytical skills
1-2 years of Linux (Redhat preferred) Operating System support
Participation on cross-functional teams
Strong troubleshooting skills, fault isolation and resolution.
