Position: System Analyst/Admin
Duration: 6 month contract
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Job Description: Job Description:
§ Collaborate with other Systems Programmers to help with performance
troubleshooting and problem resolution of UNIX operating systems.
§ Responsible for a subset of tools and technologies in a particular
environment, such as access tools; Putty, Exceed and Samba or
performance tools; Ganglia and Perceiver.
§ Maintain and enhance processes and procedures for installation,
maintenance and inventory of UNIX (AIX, Linux and Solaris) OS
instances as well as IBM Power System hardware.
§ Identify and install program products as root for AIX or Linux.
§ Implement pre-defined hardware / software solutions, IBM Power
system hardware, AIX, RedHat Linux, RHEV, PowerVM.
§ Fundamental knowledge of integrating with multiple platforms.
§ Can write basic program/scripts and must have some systems
programming experience or capabilities.
Job Requirements:
§ Systems administration experience with UNIX operating systems,
preferably AIX or RedHat Linux.
§ Understand the processes and procedures for computer hardware and
software maintenance, installation. and support.
§ Must have strong proficiency with using command line functions and editors.
§ Indepth knowledge of PowerVM,. VMWare or RedHat Enterprise
Virtialization Management (virtualization technologies).
§ Good understanding of how to configure SAN (Storage Area Network)
storage solutions within AIX and Linux operating systems, preferrably
EMC and/or NetApp technologies.
§ Good understanding of Network switching/routing within AIX and Linux
operating systems.
