Java Technical Architect

Position: Java Technical Architect

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: 6-12 Months

Core java candidate should know about threading, garbage collections, roots of Garbage collections, what is clone, what is clonable interface, thread methods etc.  and should be problem solvers and will not give convoluted explanations but have a clear simple view.

 

Key Skills:

1. Fixed Income – a must
2. Ability to articulate and document
3. Ability to modularize the work
4. Ability to Architect and Design an execution approach for the program.
5. Technology:
1. Core Java (Jdk6/7)
2. J2EE Frameworks – Spring/ Hibernate etc)
3. Open source Frameworks/ languages – whatever is best for specific tasks.. for example – Groovy, Guava, Grails jboss, jms etc.
4. General Strength in technology
5. Strong System Architecture and Design Skills
6. Strong underlying platform knowledge – LINUX
7. Good DB knowledge  Oracle and Sybase
6. Ability to estimate – Time and Cost
7. Comfortable in expression – both written and spoken.
8. Strategic thinker.
