Job Description for Software Developer

 

We are looking for an individual to join one of our agile development teams. Typically a team will consist of approximately seven members with the following makeup (Scrum Master, Agile Coach/Developer, 5 people who can get the work done). Each of these people may bring a special passion and expertise to the team. For this specific position, we are looking for someone who skilled in and passionate about software development.

 

Responsibilities will include:

· Understanding design and architecture of the application.

· Developing application code.

· Conducting troubleshooting, problem triage, and performing root cause analysis.

 

Should be proficient in most if not all of the following areas:

• Strong in object oriented programming and debugging with C#.
• Strong knowledge of .Net Frameworks
• Strong understanding of Web Services, SOA, XML, SOAP, REST, .NET, ASP.NET, WCF.
• Practical understanding and working knowledge of IIS.
• Good knowledge of writing Unit Tests using NUnit.
• Practical knowledge of Web Development using JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML.
• Good understanding of relational database design and strong transactional SQL scripting skills (preferably with SQL Server)
• Experience in developing complex enterprise applications
• Strong in using mocking frameworks (RhinoMocks)
• Agile and XP Software Development Methodologies
• Pair Programming
• Test Driven Development.
• Design Patterns

Nice to Have:

• Build tools: TeamCity.
• Other Tracking Tools: Rally, XPlanner, SharePoint.
