| Job Description: | PROJECT OVERVIEW: Buzz Words: TCS: Theater Combat System GCCS, GCSS, JOPES TIBS: Tactical Information Broadcast Sys TBMD: Theater Ballistic Missile Management Defense The SME will bridge the gap between operational needs and command and control software solutions, on behalf of our client and DISA. Additionally, at the joint level, the SME will be part of a team who is work to provide a steady flow of requirements and intelligence. Each SME is selected based on the experience, education, and ability to provide the most value-added support. This allows them to support a variety of activities from full time integration and validation to direct support of the war fighters, from evaluating the mission-essential requirements to evaluating and supporting the Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) product line. The primary responsibilities involve the installation, operations, troubleshooting and support of GCCS-J product line with the focus towards interoperability with allied and coalition partners. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include: -Provide onsite integration support. -Assist with installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, image creation and engineering support for the build of GCCS-J systems. -Ability to provide work station software administration and technical support services. -Provide summary information on test results and interoperability issues. -Ensure the fielding needs are met during the actual fielding of the products and during the on-site requested visits. -Serve on selected communities and groups to influence fielding designs and solutions for operational soundness and technical consistency, mainly focused on Situational Awareness, Force Protection, and System (Engineering) Infrastructure. SKILLS REQUIRED: MUST HAVE: -Strong Operational experience with GCCS -Exposure to the GCCS Situational Awareness (SA) systems. -Expertise in Common Operating Picture applications (COP) -Proficiency as an administrator with UNIX, and Solaris including Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN). This includes administration of user accounts, passwords, e-mail, collaboration and FTP services. -Experience troubleshooting GCCS-J, A, M, AF software/systems. -Experience Loading & Configuring GCCS software -Must have STRONG Unix experience -Active Secret Clearance |
