Job Description This position ensures all possible impacts of system modifications or enhancements are addressed during the testing phase of the project life cycle. Essential Functions Verifies software operation to ensure functional and technical requirements have been met. Works with multiple applications/systems on projects of high complexity within one or more quality assurance environments. Designs, documents and maintains moderate to complex testing strategies for use by the Quality Assurance team Performs functional and system integration testing on modifications and enhancements prior to production releases. Creates and maintains test plans, test cases, and summary documents. Identifies, analyzes, documents and communicates defects and inconsistencies in software program content, functions, outputs, and online screens. Provides technical leadership, mentoring, and training to less experienced team members. Represents Quality Assurance as a member of cross-functional project teams, estimating test efforts, creating QA schedules and providing updates on deliverables. Researches and implements process improvements into QA, including enhancements to test design and general testing methodologies Supports User Acceptance testing as needed Supports Delivery Team during implementation of software releases Serves as a secondary contact for production issues related to system under test once deployed to production. Assists new staff on testing techniques and test methodologies Performs other related duties as assigned Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.

Required Experience Bachelor degree in CS, CIS, Business or equivalent years of experience 5+ years testing, analysis or (software) design experience is required Strong knowledge of quality assurance / quality control techniques required; certifications preferred Working knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating systems Ability to use Linux utility programs and scripts Complete understanding of the overall software development process in a waterfall and agile environment Knowledgeable on the system architecture and all software systems supported by the Quality Assurance department Knowledge of Visual Basic or Java programming language is beneficial Knowledge of relational database systems and their interactions with components of a systems Comfortable with SQL (Structured Query Language) commands Working knowledge of graphical interface design (GUI) Familiarity with PC hardware configuration Ability to analyze issues and respond in a timely manner Knowledge of the financial or banking domain is desirable Strong written and oral communication skills Strong listening skills Self-motivated and self-managed Willingness and ability to work long or late hours, based on business needs Performs other related duties as assigned Approved background and drug screen is required
